My reflection on today’s Advent word – our last of the season – is short and sweet. You are beloved. Just as God spoke to Jesus as he was baptized, proclaiming, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased,” God also speaks that to each one of us. In the birth of Jesus Christ, God reminds us how much God loves us. God reminds us that we each are beloved children of God, abundantly and unconditionally loved.
I hope to see you at one of our Christmas Eve services today (10am, 5pm, 9pm). This will be a chance to worship together and remind each other of our belovedness. If you are away, may your Christmas celebrations be blessed. I hope the Advent Words have been meaningful for you this season.
