Sr Pastor | Head of Staff
Rob McClellan is Westminster’s Senior Pastor and Head of Staff, providing a wonderful opportunity to help people embrace a relevant faith as their own. He aims to offer a refreshing expression of Christ to those who have had negative or unfulfilling experiences with religion. Beyond his pastoral work, Rob has a passion for the environment, outdoor ministry, and Celtic Christianity. His doctoral work explores pilgrimage as a spiritual practice, and he has experience both as a participant and leader in pilgrimages.
Before joining Westminster, Rob served as a solo pastor in a smaller urban congregation and as an associate pastor in a large suburban congregation in the Philadelphia area. He has been actively involved in youth and college student ministries and has participated in various interfaith programs.
Rob's educational journey includes a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Iowa, an M.A. in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis, an M.A. in Rhetoric from the University of Wisconsin, and an MDiv. from Columbia Theological Seminary (Decatur, GA), and a DMin. from San Francisco Theological Seminary.
Born and raised in the Midwest, Rob's spiritual foundation was established in the Presbyterian church and fostered by transformative experiences at a large YMCA camp. He is happily married to Sherri Hausser, also an ordained Presbyterian minister, and they have a son named Liam, born in 2012. In his spare time, Rob enjoys the outdoors, music (both listening and playing), reading, writing, and cherishing moments with his family.
