In 2010, Jeff Shankle became Westminster's Director of Youth Ministries. With 20 years of ministry experience, he has engaged with churches, faith groups, and charities in over 30 states and six countries as a consultant, retreat speaker, and mission work planner. After serving as an associate pastor in San Carlos, Jeff decided to return to full-time youth ministry and joined Westminster.
During his time in Marin, Jeff initiated the Marin Interfaith Youth Group Meetup, facilitating partnerships among youth groups of different faiths. He also established a special needs youth ministry for teens called Capernaum and served on boards related to youth homelessness and school district planning. His youth ministry is driven by a strong passion for inclusion and service.
As the longest-serving full-time youth worker in Marin County, Jeff is deeply committed to his role. He shares his life with his wife, Jenn, and together they have two high-energy and adorable boys, Theo and Sol, who add excitement to their family adventures. Jeff is actively involved in many of the youth's extracurricular events and enjoys attempting to relive his past glory by playing ultimate frisbee or basketball, reflecting his former days as a competitive endurance athlete.
