Gathering Flowers for Easter Morning April 20 or 21
On Easter Sunday morning, our congregation will incorporate a traditional folk ceremony into our worship service to celebrate “Christ Is Risen, Indeed.” We will transform a life-size barren cross, a reminder of Jesus’ death, into an emblem of His resurrection, by covering the cross He bore for us, with fresh, living flowers. So, on Saturday at dusk, or early Easter morning, plan a visit to your garden and bring some flowers for your family to use, and some to share. Or, if you prefer, you may place a small amount in the offering plate on Sundays, marked “for Easter flowers.” Questions?
