Parking Lot Challenge
In order to prepare for a loss of parking spaces during our renovation, during the month of March we are challenging the congregation to use fewer parking spaces for the 10:00 service. Some alternatives include: attend the 8:30 service, carpool, walk or ride your bike, park at the Strawberry Point school lot and walk.
Giving it up for Lent
During the season of Lent, you are encouraged to bring a specific canned food each Sunday that will be donated to the Marin Food Bank. The weekly suggested cans are as follows -
March 24 – Canned Fruit, March 31 – Canned Fish, April 7 – Canned Chili.
Small Group Dinner Host Recruiting Going on Now
We are currently recruiting about a dozen hosts for the spring series of Small Group Dinners that will run Fri Apr 26 thru Sat May 25. Our roster of dinners needs to be settled in time for dinner signups to begin on Sun Apr 7. This group meets the 4th Thursday of each month for a light supper and discussion of issues facing dads of all ages, offering access to ideas and voices of experience in an informal and collegial setting. Summer Service Trip June 23-28
We are joining with the Sebastopol UCC congregation to help rebuild homes in Lake County that were destroyed by the Valley Fire in 2015. We will stay in Middletown in dormitory housing provided by the Hope City organization. No special skills needed. Youth ages 15 and older are welcome with an adult. See Bethany for more information and plan on attending an informational meeting on April 7 at 11:15am.
