Youth Mission Trips

Westminster sends a group of high school students and adult leaders each year to provide a week of service to those in need.  Service projects have included building and painting houses, running a day camp for children, working at a Food Bank, serving food at a homeless shelter, and more.  We begin planning meetings in the fall, hold fundraisers, learn about our mission site, and build team bonds.

We leave in June shortly after school is out. The past few years we have worked in Tijuana, Mexico; New Orleans, Louisiana; Chicago, Illinois; and Los Angeles, California. All high school youth are welcome on the trip. Last summer we worked in San Diego and this coming summer we went to Denver.  You can see some pictures from our Denver trip HERE.

In July, our middle school youth also participate in a multi-day mission trip.  In past summers, we have volunteered in Ceres, Sonoma County and Fresno.  This summer, we served with various non-profit agencies in San Francisco and Oakland, spending our nights at a host church in San Francisco.
