Staff Directory

Rob McClellan is Westminster's Senior Pastor and Head of Staff. joyfully welcomed by the congregation on April 28, 2013.  Rob is from the Mid-West, having grown up in Indiana and studied in Iowa, Indiana and Wisconsin.  He has Master's Degrees in Philanthropic Studies, Rhetoric, and Divinity and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry.  His early ministry experience was in outdoor and campus ministries.  He worked at  a large camp and conference center in Northern Indiana and was the Acting Director of Presbyterian Campus Ministry at Emory University.  His pastorates include Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church, located just outside of Philadelphia, where he was an Interim Associate Pastor and Tabernacle United Church in urban Philadelphia, where he served as solo pastor.  Rob has a love of preaching, teaching, pastoral care and trasformative mission and is passionate about ecotheology and spirituality.

Rob is married to the Rev. Sherri Hausser and together they have a son, Liam, born on Oct. 13, 2012.

 

Barbara Rowe has been a Pastor at Westminster since 1992 with general responsibilities in the areas of preaching, teaching, small group development as well as mission and community involvement.  After an earlier career in business and computer systems, Barbara enjoys the organizational aspects of church ministry but is especially grateful for the opportunity to be present with adults and families at the important times of baptisms, weddings, life celebrations and transitions. Barbara is a graduate of San Francisco Theological Seminary, Masters of Divinity 1992, Doctor of Ministry 2004.

 

Bethany Nelson is the Director of Youth Ministry serving primarily middle school and high school youth and their families.  On staff since January 2003, Bethany leads volunteer adults providing classes, programs, music, mission trips, and activities for church youth and their friends.  She also spends time with youth one-on-one at their school and community activities, over a meal, and just having fun.  Bethany graduated from Northwestern University in 1996, and from Pacific School of Religion, Certificate of Theological Studies, 2006, and Masters of Divinity, 2010.

 

Ted Scott is the Parish Associate and has had two major areas of career focus. As a management consultant, Ted has assisted leaders, executive teams, boards and organizations to grow through complex change and transition while remaining responsive to guiding spirit and core values. He has worked with both profit and non-profit organizations. In the arena of parish ministry, Ted has been Assistant Pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Rahway, N.J. and Pastor of Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church in Newark, N.J. As Parish Associate with Westminster Presbyterian Church, Ted offers classes, helps lead retreats, does spiritual direction, participates in various groups and leads worship. Ted got his divinity degree from Princeton Theological Seminary and an MA in organizational studies from New York University.

 

Nicole Trotter is the Director of Christian Education, providing Sunday school classes and seasonal activities/ events for children and their families. Nicole worked as Director of Education in Mill Valley for five years before finding her way to Westminster. She has directed Children's theatre productions for children of all ages and enjoys volunteering at the local schools throughout the year. Originally from New York with a BFA in Acting from SUNY Purchase, Nicole now happily resides in Corte Madera with her husband and two children.

 

RuthE. Wells is the Music Director, leading the adult choir at the 10:00 service and coordinating the church's overall music program. She is a fourth-generation church choir director and fledgling composer as well as a singer. RuthE. (no that's not a typo) returned to the Bay Area this past summer after living for nine years in Friday Harbor, Washington, where she was music director at St. David's Episcopal Church and director of a 40-voice community chorus.  As a singer, RuthE. is a member of the Sonoma County Bach Choir, the Chora Nova chorus in Berkeley, the Sanford Dole Ensemble in San Francisco and Consort Chorale in San Anselmo.

 

Alla Artemova is the Organist/Pianist and choir accompanist.   After graduating from State Classical Conservatory in Moscow, Russia in 2003, Alla found her home in Marin County. Alla is an active performer in the San Francisco Bay Area. She performs as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist with various choral groups, instrumentalists and vocalists. Alla also runs a piano studio for students of all ages.
