MEDICAL MISSION TRIP
In war-torn Guatemala, two teams of 20-30 medical professionals and translators travel annually to Antigua to offer surgical care and to villages for medical support. At least one high school youth participates. Congregation members support the work with financial donations, packaging of medicines, driving, and providing school supplies for children. Mission leaders: April Green and John Long. The 2008 Guatemala Medical Teams March 28 (Village Clinic) and April 5 (Surgical).
INTERFAITH REBUILDING TRIP
GULFPORT, MISSISSIPPI Mar. 19-25, 2006
Installing new kitchen cabinets and replacing roofs on three storm-damaged homes, fifteen Marinites from three congregations discovered they had untapped talents. Four Mississippi families told their stories of evacuation, flooding and incredible damage as some still live in FEMA trailers as they work to repair their homes. The trip was planned with the help of the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance with 10 work camps across the Gulf Coast.
INTERGENERATIONAL — FAMILY MISSION ADVENTURE
Kids from age 6 to 66 and older travel together to Mexico, Fresno, Hoopa, Owyhee, or to any place that has a special need. Adults and school age children offer games, song, labor, and fun to demonstrate God's love to all. Participants also broaden their own understanding and appreciation for all God's people. These mission trips are 4-7 days and planned by the Westminster Outreach Commission.

REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT
In the Spring of 1999, during the crisis in Kosovo, Westminster committed to helping resettle an ethnic-Albanian refugee family. The congregation with the help of the Tiburon community located a rental house and welcomed the Vila family of nine in June, 1999. They were helped with a home, food, furniture, job interviews, schooling, English language training, and more involving at least 100 of the congregation members. As of April, 2000, the family became fully self-supporting but has remained in Marin County and kept a relationship with the congregation. Muhabere Vila is head staff person for the Sunday morning nursery program.
FOOD FOR OTHERS and MONTHLY WELLNESS CHECKS HOT MEAL - Thursday 12:00 or Monthly, San Rafael
Westminster teams with other local congregations to offer a hot meal every Thursday for hungry people. Congregants provide portions of the meal and serve on third and fifth Thursdays. Coordinator is Amy Cerussi. Wellness Checks are also offered on the third Tuesday by nurse practicianer, Vickie Hagbom.
Teams also provide meals for San Rafael Shelter and Voyager Carmel Shelter monthly on Wednesdays and special holidays. Coordinators are Lesli Hobart, Ellen Smoke and Liz Arnold.
CLEAN UP OUR BEACH!
PARADISE PARK
Westminster has adopted Paradise Park Beach which is located on the Tiburon Peninsula. Quarterly, congregants of all ages meet to pick up trash along the beach and to picnic and enjoy Paradise Park. Coordinator: Judi Sachs and Kathy Martinez
ALTERNATIVE CHRISTMAS FAIR
Christmas Shopping in November
Give a truly meaningful Christmas present to the world's needy and to those on your gift list.
Shopping days are two Sundays in November and shoppers don't have to wrap their gifts! Give inoculations, nails for house building, scholarships, goats and chickens, counseling appointments, and more. You will receive a beautiful card describing your gift that can be given to the people on your Christmas list. Coordinators: Natalie Cramer and Erin Findlay
TIBURON THRIFT SHOP
The Thrift Shop on Ark Row in Tiburon accepts donations of clothing and children's toys. Volunteers are needed on Mondays and Saturdays. Proceeds help local organizations including Westminster Presbyterian Church and mission projects. Coordinator: Carla Lantier
